Quality Assurance Analyst – Consultant (Advanced)
Project Scope
The Quality Assurance Analyst – Consultant will support the client projects in collaboration with the client Project Management Office (PMO). The PMO is responsible for staffing all the client projects and for establishing, enforcing, and monitoring IT governance, standards, and best practices followed by all enterprise project teams.

Key Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance Analyst – Consultant is responsible for testing technical solutions to identify, isolate, and resolve defects and performance issues. This role supports quality assurance activities throughout the system development lifecycle (SDLC).
Primary duties include, but are not limited to:
Develop comprehensive test plans, quality assurance strategies, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes
Translate business requirements, policy documentation, and technical designs into detailed test cases and test scenarios
Maintain end-to-end SDLC traceability between requirements, designs, test cases, and system components
Perform functional, regression, usability, and negative testing
Test software applications for reliability, stability, and performance
Design, execute, and support automated testing scripts, including oversight of test deployments
Participate in defect identification, triage, retesting, and resolution processes
Prepare and maintain quality assurance documentation, metrics, and test reports
Ensure compliance with established software testing governance, standards, and best practices; recommend process improvements as appropriate
Conduct reviews, walkthroughs, and inspections in alignment with governance requirements
Communicate test results, open issues, and identified gaps to development and project teams through regular status reporting
Required Skills (Ranked by Importance)
Minimum of 5 years of experience translating business requirements or policy documentation into test cases and scenarios
Minimum of 5 years of experience building and executing test cases within test management systems
Minimum of 3 years of in-depth knowledge of healthcare operations and business processes, preferably Medicaid
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience using formal test design tools
Preferred Skills (Ranked by Importance)
5+ years of experience supporting large enterprise or e-business systems
3+ years of experience using manual or automated testing tools such as Azure DevOps, Atlassian JIRA, and Confluence
3+ years of experience working within a structured SDLC (Waterfall) and Agile delivery environments
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business, healthcare, or related field
Relevant professional experience may be substituted for formal education
Certifications
No certifications required
Technical and/or Project Management certifications from recognized organizations are preferred
Public Sector Experience
Prior experience with ICD-10 and Medicaid systems is highly desirable
